Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Serving our guests at the bar is the reason we are here, and a guest experience is our goal.  A passion for craft beer and other libations is required, and a true drive to provide great hospitality is a must.Intimate knowledge of the product menu is important and will come quickly with time and training.
  • Our number one responsibility is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our guests. Creating a fun, clean, and genuine experience is our focus. You will be representing the whole team here, and the greater community of Steamboat as you interact with locals and visitors alike. You must be enthusiastic, inviting, professional, positive, and unafraid to rectify any situation that may arise to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Cleanliness is a representation of all of us, and so we have high standards to which you will be held.
  • When you are behind the bar, you are accountable. Know when to take charge, and always know when to call or ask for help.
  • Must adapt to our systems and procedures to ensure a smooth work environment and consistent guest experience that does not vary depending on whom is working.
  • Previous service, hospitality, or other face-to-face customer service experience is not required, but a passion for hospitality is a must.
  • You must have the ability to manage stressful situations, multitask, effectively, and keep your cool under pressure.
  • You must work well with others. We are a team.  Clear and effective communication is crucial.

You must be willing to complete the required training and provide certification of the following (some of which will be distributed to you upon hire):

  • Responsible Alcohol Server (TIPS) Certified
  • State Food Safety Food Handlers Certified
  • Adoption of all Employee Handbook policies
